A QR code (abbreviated from Quick Response code) is a type of matrix barcode which can be scanned by cellular devices. QR codes have multiple uses, but are most commonly used to direct the person who scanned the code to a website. You can generate a QR code that directs people to your payment page for a quick and easy way to take a contactless payment in your office.
To get your payment page link:
- In CPACharge click Charge
- For the account where you want to deposit payments click Actions > Show & Copy Page Link
- Copy the link in the box that appears.
Generating the QR Code
There are multiple free QR code generators on the internet. To get started, search for one that best suits your needs. Things to consider include maximum number of scans, campaign tracking, etc.
Once you have decided on an option, paste your previously copied payment page URL into their QR code generator. Below is an example:
Next, download the QR code for use. This can then be printed and placed at your front desk for clients to scan and pay for services.
Some phones, such as Apple devices, can scan the QR code naturally using the camera. Instructions can vary amongst Samsung devices. For more in-depth Apple instructions on scanning QR codes, click here. For Samsung instructions organized by device, click here.
